Welcome to the GVP journal

A short note on why this site exists, what we'll be publishing here, and the kind of writing we think is worth your time.

· Jeff Garrett · intro · company

This is the first post on the GVP journal. It exists for a simple reason: the work we do at Garrett Value Products is about building software with the people who’ll use it. That story is hard to tell in a landing-page bullet list — so we’re going to tell it here instead.

What we’ll publish

A few things you can expect from this page over the next several months:

  • Field notes from product builds we’re in the middle of.
  • Founder essays on what’s broken in software for small and mid-sized operators — and what’s quietly working.
  • Engineering deep-dives when we ship something we think other builders would find useful.

If a post is more useful published than kept inside the partner network, we publish it.

How to follow along

For now, posts live here on the site. We update slowly and deliberately — never on a schedule — because we’d rather write one thing worth reading than ten things worth skipping.

Want to write with us?

If you operate a small or mid-sized business — or you build software for one — and you have a perspective worth sharing, we’d genuinely like to hear from you. Send us a note.
